Best Parks for a Birthday Party in South Florida
Throwing a birthday party at a park is one of the easiest wins in South Florida — built-in shade, room to run, and no cleanup at home. But not every park is created equal, and a few have rules you'll want to know before you book a pavilion or a bounce house. Here's our local shortlist, county by county, plus a quick checklist for a smooth park party.
Broward County
Tradewinds Park (Coconut Creek)
One of the most popular party parks in Broward, Tradewinds Park has large rentable pavilions, a butterfly aviary, pony rides, and plenty of parking. It's a favorite for bigger celebrations because there's space for the whole family. Reserve your pavilion early through Broward County Parks, and confirm the pavilion's power and vehicle-access details if you plan to add an inflatable.
Quiet Waters Park (Deerfield Beach)
Great for a slightly more laid-back party, with shaded pavilions and a splash-pad-style water area. It's an easy drive from our Boca Raton HQ, so delivery is quick.
Palm Beach County
Sugar Sand Park (Boca Raton)
A local gem with a huge playground, a carousel, and a science center. Pavilions here book up fast on weekends, so plan ahead. Check current park rules on inflatables — some Boca parks require a permit and a certificate of insurance, which we can provide.
Caloosa Park & Boynton Beach parks
If you're closer to Delray or Boynton, there are several county parks with rentable shelters that make a great home base for a party. We serve this whole corridor — see our service areas for delivery details by city.
Can you bring a bounce house to a South Florida park?
Often yes — but it depends on the park. Most county and municipal parks that allow inflatables require two things: a rental permit and a certificate of insurance (COI) naming the park or municipality as additionally insured. FOMO Bounce is fully insured and provides a COI at no extra charge, which makes park approvals painless. A few things to confirm with the park when you reserve your pavilion:
- Power: Does the pavilion have a working outlet, or do we need to bring a quiet generator? Most park inflatables run on a generator.
- Anchoring: Parks usually require sandbag anchoring (no stakes) on turf or concrete pads — that's standard for us.
- Vehicle access: How close can our delivery truck get to the setup spot? A long carry is fine; we just like to plan for it.
A quick park-party checklist
- Reserve the pavilion the moment your date is set (weekends go first).
- Book your bounce house or water slide next, and ask us for a COI for the permit.
- Bring shade, water, and sunscreen — South Florida sun is no joke, even in "winter."
- Plan food around the shelter, and check whether the park allows generators for a bounce house.
